We recently photographed the LiveStay Group Gala at The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne. A collaboration with Arlaie Event Co to capture a full evening of celebration, awards, entertainment and genuine acknowledgement of the people who make it all work. The night brought together the teams from UKO Life, Veriu Hotels & Suites and Punthill Hotels to celebrate achievements across the group.
Gala dinners and corporate awards nights are genuinely some of our favourite events to shoot. They have everything that makes event photography satisfying: incredible venues, thoughtful styling, great people, real emotion, and moments that actually matter. There's always something to capture.
Capturing the Moments That Matter
Corporate awards nights move. One moment you're photographing arrivals and networking, the next you're on a speaker, then you're capturing someone's genuine reaction to winning an award, then a whole team celebrating together.

When we photograph a premium event, we're thinking about two things at once. The wide shots that show the scale of the space, how it's been styled, what the atmosphere feels like. And then the details.. the branding elements, tablescapes, how food and beverage are presented, the entertainment, genuine interactions between guests. That combination tells a much fuller story than just documenting the formal parts.
